About Me

My entire life, one thing has remained true: my desire to tell stories. I've cultivated this passion through several ways, including photography, writing and deep conversations. The epicenter of these stories has changed time after time, but the core desire to seek and share has forever held up. Through studying public relations alongside new media and digital cultures, I had several opportunities to expand on my passion and explore new avenues for storytelling. Whether I am on a physical mountain top, in the middle seat on an airplane, or sitting front row at a sporting event, I am seeking the stories that play out before my eyes, waiting to be captured and explored.

My Ethics

My three personal ethical principles, which I aim to follow in all aspects of my life, are: Listen Attentively and Respond Honestly, Keep an Open Perspective and Share Responsibly.

Listen Attentively and Respond Honestly: When speaking with others, regardless of the relationship, actively listen to the topic at hand and engage in thoughtful, honest conversation. Lying to others, ignoring their concerns, speaking over others and turning the conversation to myself should be the last possible outcomes of a conversation.

Keep an Open Perspective: My life experiences differ from those around me, and due to our differing life experiences, lifestyles, beliefs and interests, we may not agree on various topics. Hearing other perspectives may or may not change my opinion, but it will broaden my knowledge and promote personal growth, as I lack knowledge from different perspectives.

Share Responsibly: Be mindful of who has access to information and what they may do with it. Consider the sensitivity of shared information. If there is doubt about sharing the information or the channels of communication, consider the why behind sharing beforehand.

My life experiences have shaped who I am and what I believe, and thus these three ethical perspectives are deeply rooted in and developed from my beliefs, experiences and background. There is beauty in the mosaic of life that forms my perspectives and values, and as more life is lived, that mosaic seeks to change as well.

My Stance on AI

AI is a powerful tool — one that has sparked both great excitement and great fear across industries and communities worldwide. But AI is here to stay, and I believe I would be remiss not to learn how to harness it in a way that is intentional, honest, and true to the work I do.

I have taken the time to learn hands-on with AI programs such as Claude, ChatGPT, and NotebookLM. What I have found is that AI, when used thoughtfully, can support my process without replacing my voice or my judgment. The stance below reflects what I know now — and like all things I believe in, it is open to growth as my knowledge continues to evolve. I welcome conversation, challenge, and greater perspective on this topic. Learning is one of the most powerful tools we have as humans.

Where I draw the line: There are uses of AI that conflict with my commitment to honest, original work. I do not use AI to fully write or generate copy, nor do I use it to create images or video. The voice, perspective, and creativity in my work are my own — and that is something I am not willing to outsource.

Where I see the value: AI earns its place in my process when it supports my thinking rather than substituting for it. I use AI to refine grammar or word choice in specific instances, assist in brainstorming content strategy, help map social media goals to actionable content steps, and break larger projects into smaller, manageable milestones. In these uses, I remain the author of the work — AI simply helps me get there more clearly.

This stance is rooted in the same values that guide everything else I do: being honest about what the work is and where it comes from, staying open to new information, and sharing and creating with care and responsibility.
